IT'S HERE!! The new beta CITRT community site is live as of 10/26/10!
We are VERY excited to announce a new community site for CITRT! We are still in development before making it "officially" the home of CITRT.org and we'd love your feedback. The goal for the new site is twofold... First, to make an official looking site for people who are brand new to CITRT and want to better understand who we are and why they should be involved. This is important for every IT person out there who would love to attend a CITRT event and needs to make a pitch to their boss. We want an executive pastor to understand why CITRT is a wise investment for their staff. And secondly, we want to provide an online community to allow us to have a database of everyone involved in CITRT, where we can create groups and discussions centered around specific technologies, and build a tighter peer online community. You can create a profile, join groups that you are interested in, join the online citrt chat, see upcoming events, and build relationships with other IT folks around the country (and world) who are dealing with the same questions as you. But ... we need your feedback and ideas. The new site is based on the Shadetree opensource platform, so we'd love to work with you to use your giftedness to make this CITRT community site even better. Welcome to the Church IT RoundTable
The Church IT Roundtable (CITRT) is a peer learning community of Church and ministry IT people not only across the US, but around the globe. Very much like NACBA and other organizations that involve church administration and church technology, there has been a growing interest among Church IT people to find ways to connect with each other. And thus the Church IT RoundTable was born in Fall of 2006. Over 500 church staff and volunteers have been involved with CITRT in one way or another and we look forward to watching how God continues to expand our community.
Who is Involved/Who Should be Involved?
CITRT is for staff, volunteers and vendors who support the Church in the area of Information Technology without discrimination to the maturity of the technology they use or the size of the congregation they support. Often we find ourselves with the skills and aptitudes to be successful but lacking in a critical piece of knowledge that may be found in a colleague within the Church IT community. This is certainly true for those who are part-time staff or volunteers working in church IT. We need information. We need inspiration. Above all, we need a community of like-minded peers.

Church Community Builder Church IT Roundtable
Church Community Builder hosted a roundtable in Colorado Springs, Friday, September 10, 2010. This event was open to anyone involved in Church IT, whether a CCB client or not.
Shelby ISC Church IT Roundtable - June 16, Atlanta GA
About 20 people took time out from the Shelby ISC to participate in the first Shelby-hosted CITRT. Some for a few minutes, some for hours, a few nearly all day. A few fresh introductions to CITRT.
ACS Church IT Roundtable - May 25th Louisville, KY. Thanks to Dean Lisenby and the rest of ACS for hosting this CITRT event for about 50 Church IT people, many who were not ACS customers.

Church IT Survey - Ever wonder what churches similar to you are doing IT wise? How many computers do they support? What's their IT staff size? Do they support multi-site, etc?
