Introduction

Backups are those things that people like Mr. Powell probably do, and the rest of us should do.  Unfortunately there is sometimes a big price tag to back up multi-terabyte SANs and still provide versioned file-level restores.  Those price tags can easily scare those of us with tight budgets away from getting the ball rolling on a big backup project.  Hopefully this page will start to gather best practices and best prices for core backup needs in the ministry.
